2025 has positioned APL for growth.

“We’ve strengthened relationships, brought brilliant people into the team, and invested in capabilities that’ll define where our business goes next. The market’s been tough, but we’ve used that to our advantage.” Michael Crump, MD at APL Formwork.
As we close out 2025, we’re reflecting on what’s been a solid year for APL β and more importantly, what it’s set us up for in 2026.
This year has been about preparation and building momentum. New equipment in the workshop, new faces on the team, new products in our offering, and new international markets opening. A lot has been happening, and it looks like we have an exciting year ahead of us.
Expanding our offering
The manufacturing side has really come into its own this year. We’ve invested in equipment that expands our precision manufacturing capabilities for both steel and aluminium parts. These are game changers for what we can offer customers and how we position ourselves in the market.
More on this next year!
We’ve also been doing a lot more internationally β selling complete packages into Europe and proving that APL’s service travels well beyond the UK.

The people making it happen.
The highlight of this year was bringing David Meek on board as Business Development Manager. He hit the ground running from day one, and we’re planning to expand the sales team to strengthen APL’s presence in 2026. Sean Burton continues to lead the sales team brilliantly, ensuring everything stays on track and moving forward.
We’ve also welcomed Luke Coningsby back as Operations Director. Luke brings site experience and his time at JLR, and he’s already driving improvements in quality, efficiency, and lean manufacturing across the factory.
Looking ahead to 2026.
We’ve got more to offer customers than ever before. The new manufacturing capabilities mean we can fabricate bespoke solutions for a larger audience and with the stock profile we’re building, we’re becoming a proper full-service partner.
“Bringing another salesperson into the team means we can build our presence across the UK the way we’ve always wanted to, and the international work is really gaining momentum. There’s a lot happening, and 2026 is shaping up to be an exciting year for us.“ Says Sean Burton, Director of Sales.
The hire business keeps growing, we’re expanding internationally, and we’re building up our stock to have more products ready when customers need them. With a potential new salesperson joining the team in 2026 and manufacturing capabilities that extend well beyond formwork, we’re positioned to make real progress in supporting our customers in the year ahead.
Here’s to an exciting year ahead!
