Who we are
APL has been a family-run business since 2007, with the husband-and-wife team, Steve and Sarah Crump, taking over the company and shifting the business towards formwork sales, hires and repairs. Steve and Sarah initially worked for APL before purchasing the company together in 2007, with extensive experience in sales, marketing, quality and production planning.
From 2007 until now, APL’s team has exponentially grown – putting together the company’s 175 years of experience in the Construction and Formwork industry in order to service partners and clients across the globe. As of today, APL is a global formwork and falsework source with a 35,000 Sqft site in Walsall that allows for the continued innovation, design and manufacturing of products, as well as an additional large yard space for the wide variety of stock available for hire and sale.
In 2021, Michael Crump was appointed as the new Managing Director of APL – having worked in all areas of the business, Michael continues to drive the team to success whilst still keeping the family values Sarah and Steve Crump introduced to the company.
APL has also recently become a member of Construct and the Temporary Works Forum, enabling us to share our experience and have better insight into the formwork and falsework industry. This involvement in industry groups also allows us to plan ahead with new products and keep up to date on any changes in important regulations.
