Edge Protection

APL prides itself on being a full-service UK partner for the formwork industry, which means supporting our customers with the safety systems they’ll need on-site. Our focus is on the areas of highest risk – falls from height and being struck by falling objects.

Our edge protection systems are available for hire or sale and can be installed onto your formwork and directly onto the slab once cast.

Barriers

All of our barrier systems are compliant with BS EN 13374, the standard for temporary edge protection systems. APL barriers are made from pre-galvanised steel, then powder coated for durability and a long life span. Available in customer colours and branding when purchased.

Aside from working as a stand-alone system, our edge protection offers seamless compatibility with other systems in the market. Barriers are available in full (2.6m) length, and a half barrier (1.3m). An Extender barrier can be used to increase the height from 1.2m to 1.8m, alternatively, we offer a 1.8m height single-piece barrier.

Safety Fans

Providing protection for the public, site workers and property, our tried and tested Safety Net Fans are quick and easy to install onto the structure or scaffolds.

Available in 6m and 4m widths, and in standard or x-wide for the highest level of protection. Our Safety Net Fans are tested and compliant with BS EN 1263 Type T.

Loading Platform

Quick and easy to install and relocate, APL’s Loading Platforms not only ensure the safe movement of material and equipment on hi-rise projects but also improved crane efficiency. Available in fixed or retractable types, and in 3-tonne or 5-tonne capacities, we have Loading Platforms to suit any project.
